P.A.P.A Fest 2006:
June 23-25, 2006

We were still telling stories about the first PAPA Fest in 2005 and 2006. Along with this was a growing desire to gather folks from all over to celebrate and challenge our work for peace, justice, community-building and sustainability. Putting these together, we decided to construct a weekend festival that shared the name and vision with the first PAPA Festival.

It was a big task to coordinate and build a gathering the likes of which none of us had been a part before. It took a lot of people generously offering their creativity, time, skills and money. This included Pat and Steve Lafon who openhandedly let us use their lovely grounds for the festival. With the help of so many amazing people we were able to collectively build a village that fostered new friendships, shared resources, play, learning and just plain fun. It was a blast.
